In the Midwestern USA, a plate lunch is the same as the Southern type but it does not have whatever restrictions on the vegetable choices. Hence, a correct Midwestern plate lunch could simply comprise macaroni, rice, potatoes and a meat. Usually, in Midwestern restaurants, there is often a variety of starches to be found.
The plate lunch will often comprise dietary preferences based on some local customs. The plate lunch within the state of California for example, can consist of a vegetarian delight that comprises an entree which is either made with tofu or soy-based, marinated legumes and a raw garden salad.
Within many restaurants, the plate lunch is a favorite alternative as it enables the kitchen to prepare bigger amounts of specific foods that could be simply served rapidly after patrons place an order. A plate lunch is truly a good choice for the hungry customer because it provides the ability for fast and yummy alternatives which would result in a yummy meal for an affordable price.
